A sword that exists only in Korea Softwood cane Sword (Adaptive, Blood)

Introducing a unique sword that can only be found in Korea.

It is a cane sword used by Buddhist chief monks and Taoist teachers. A famous chief monk in Korean history, Seosan Daesa Samyeongdang

In order to gain the truth of Buddhism and to guide sentient beings,

He practices chanting and meditation. He also manages temples and goes hiking in his free time. It's a walk.

And they also exercise for their health.

One of them is softwood wand swordsmanship.

In Joseon history, during the Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592, the monk Samyeongdang recruited monks

He created an army of monks, became a commander, fought against the Japanese army, and took an active part in defending the country.

After the war, he met with Japanese Emperor Tokugawa Ieyasu and negotiated for him to return to Joseon the prisoners taken to Japan after the war.

However, in addition to reading Buddhist scriptures and contemplating deeply, they always practiced Buddhist martial arts Yeonsu-mok (jukjang swordsmanship).

During the war, it is not okay to turn away from the people and leave them to die just because they are Buddhist monks.

As an IAIDO person, I am very interested in Buddhist martial arts.

Based on historical data and stories heard by monks, today's training wooden sword (Jukjangdo) was made.

This is a work of art. Made of lightning-struck wood, the blade hidden in the staff is a forged folding blade that is superior to any sword.

It is easy to walk, light, and strong for kendo training in battle and easy to cut.

It is a softwood cane sword made by many swordsmiths, including Jun-gi swordsmith, at the Goryeo Traditional Technological Sword Works.

The overall weight is the same as that of a regular sword, which is slightly heavier, and the weight of the sword is very light, around 820g.

Also, since it is just a softwood cane, it is a sword that is not objectionable to others even if the general public brings it when going mountain climbing. Today, we introduced a special Korean cane sword to you.
